Daisy never wanted Tom to know about her affair. Possibly because of two reasons. One,Tom had one and she could have seen it as settling the score. Or two, she enjoyed the chase that she had going between herself and Gatsby. But one thing is for sure, it was not out of love for Tom. Now that she has to fess up the truth, she isn’t going to lie about it anymore.
