Tom absolutely detests everything about Gatsby at this point, including his go-to phrase. He hates how Gatsby is still pretending to be friendly with him even in the middle of their fight. Plus Tom considers “old sport” an Oxford phrase, so he doesn’t think Gatsby is worthy of saying it.
