Affected, possibly imitated,
“Affected” as in pretentious. Throughout the poem, Eliot parodies the qualities the female critics disdain in his work. So, for example, the list of adjectives in this first stanza is affected, monotonous, and fantastical (outlandish), and starts to sound like “galimatias” (gobbledygook). But then the “stick it up your ass” refrain arrives to clear the fog and deliver the opposite of what they (and we) would expect in such a priggish poem.
