Massive Attack joins up with Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval for this exploration of anxious love. On August 9, 2016, they released a captivating video starring Cate Blanchett. It was directed by John Hillcoat, director of films like The Road and The Proposition.

It’s the second time Hope Sandoval sings on one of Massive Attack’s songs. She was previously cast as the main vocalist on “Paradise Circus” off the band’s 2010 Heligoland album.

My theory: Jay and Kanye were hoping that the deal would wrap up before the Frank release and that the Frank release would have been the first from a joint Apple/Tidal deal. Deal was delayed, Frank release was delayed (perhaps the that July 15th library card stamp was a relic of that earlier plan?). Then over the weekend Kanye got wind of what the rollout for the Frank album was going to be, thought it was lame, and started tweeting. Also, so far, (my imaginary) Kanye’s right. This rollout is bad.
