Name long smudged with irony
The name of the crew is smudged, as if it were a written thing that had been sullied. It’s a subtle metaphor, but one that goes toward the linguistic framework I’m constructing — the world of graffiti is one in which words are written and then attacked, erased, written over. This is a metaphor that will be literalized over the course of the book.
