The Boondocks Season Four

So, without giving too much away (because I know we have a large base not in the EST), what did you all think of the season premiere? The satires I caught were of Chris Brown (Pretty Boy Flizzy) and Crazy, Stupid, Love (the arc about Flizzy helping Tom with his wife); in addition, there were a few callbacks to prior episodes that I liked.

My personal rating: B.

C+ for me, didn’t like the new animation, not to mention the episode wasn’t anything special.

Episode was okay but I don’t think it was a strong episode for a premiere. They should have gone with one of the better episodes. This episode felt like a middle, filler kind of episode. Not bad but not something that you kick things off with.

Would’ve been better if they continued where the last episode of season 3 left off. Huey’s last words at the end were a bit anti-climactic (“you can’t fight the future, don’t waste your life trying”), which was a turning point for his character. Hopefully the staff caught on to it and will address it later on in the season, and in a way that McGruger would do it.

As for this episode, it wasn’t bad to me. Pretty funny with some familiarity to it.

Episode was decent.

*Sigh. Had a few chuckles if anything but the recent episode was a letdown.
