Heard a lot of good things about it but the thread answers will be the final decision on if I should start watching it or not…

P.S. – Is it on Netflix?

According to IMDB it’s fucking amazing (and I like IMDB ratings tbh – my favorite show of all time is #1 last time I checked). It’s not on Netflix, and it’s not even on most normal Satellite TV plans; it’s on HBO I think.

As for my personal opinion… I haven’t seen 1 second of it yet. lol

I hear that it’s really good. It’s not on Netflix and probably never will be. If u have it or can have a friend hook u up with a HBO Go login then u can watch it. You can also get it on the Pirate Bay

It’s on HBO, not Netflix. I’ve seen it. Great performances from McConaughey and Harrelson. They play two former detectives who are trying to solve a case that was reopened after they left the force. Has a film noir vibe in a modern setting. Very dark, literary/occult references. Personally, I thought it was alright overall but I wasn’t crazy about it. However, it has gotten a lot of acclaim and the show is even nominated for Best Drama at the Emmy’s even though it’s a mini-series. Harrelson and McConaughey won’t come back for Season 2, however there are rumors that Brad Pitt might get involved, which would be great (Se7en, anyone?).

So my two cents is that it was incredible… I hate this genre and i hate(d) matthew McConaughey, but its really well written and they put a lot of detail into everything.

I like how they dress up mr matthew in a suit thats nearly IDENTICAL to the one Ludwig Wittgenstein is always seen wearing in his photos. they also made him gaunt and gave him a similar haircut… as Wittgenstein’s personality would have been very similar.

after searching McConaughey and Wittegentein on google, it seems the show has subconsciously planted the idea in the heads of others too.
