What makes things original is our own spin on them…Holiday didn’t invent Stoicism but in this book he will add his own contemporary spin on it, and his philosophy in general. He has probably learned a lot from his different mentors but what makes him unique is the way he combined, and expounded, upon their knowledge

The writer here–my boy Paperham Lincoln–employs a language device in which he quotes a Yung Lean rap, then ends the sentence with part-color commentary, part-allusion to Young Jeezy, and part-his own rhyme. Deploying his own flow–that’s some next level hip-hop writing shit, I fuck with that.

However, I don’t fuck with Young Jeezy, at all, whatsoever; pretty much every rapper that I like (Gucci Mane, Pimp C, Freddie Gibbs, Slim Dunkin) has called out Jeezy for not being real and in fact lying to the people constantly

Me and Paperham was talking before this…you may like APC because of Kanye West, or HBA because of ASAP Rocky, but if you’re looking to cash in on the next big fashion wave, it very well may be this new look that Yung Lean is popularizing. Athletic and simple

I feel like when Yung Lean and the Sad Boys come to America, it will be like the Beatles came over back in the 60’s…the new Swedish wave
