This is P Diddy saluting Kesha (or maybe it’s supposed to represent Kesha as P Diddy macking on girls).

In an interview, Kesha revealed that Puff said the phrase for free, as a favor.

Bo doesn’t do coke the drug, he only drinks Coca-Cola. But even that was too hard for him, so he had to go to Diet Coke.

But regular Coke, the drink with all the sugar in it, doesn’t burn your throat anymore than Diet Coke does. So maybe he did go from inappropriately ingesting cocaine to drinking Diet Coke.

“…she wrote songs for other artists, worked on her album and got fired from her job as a waitress from several restaurants. ‘I’m too emotional,’ she explains. ‘People would be rude and I would start crying. Weird energy freaks me out.’” Guardian

A pear is used as an euphemism for a pair. Of testicles, that is.

The phrase works well because growing a pear is a phrase that makes sense – it literally means planting the fruit. It doubles up nicely with growing a pair of balls, meaning to develop testicles (literally) or muster courage (figuratively).

According to the idiom, having “balls” is equivalent to being bold and courageous, presumably because men are more valiant than women. That’s a sexist, patriarchal assumption that’s made its way into our everyday language.

Ke$ha dissociates the meaning of that metaphor from its physical image. Even though the boy in this song probably has a pair of testicles, he doesn’t “have the balls” (boldness) that Ke$ha does. Ke$ha’s music is socially conscious poetry!

This is based on a true story. In an interview with US Magazine, Ke$ha recounts:,

I barfed in [Paris Hilton’s] closet. I ended up going to her house for a party, and I thought it was a bathroom. I was dancing too hard. And it turned out to be her closet.

Mentioning DVDs and mistakes in the same line may refer to her sex scene scandal.

This is a nice example of zeugma – she made physical DVDs and also made, more intangibly, a few mistakes when she was younger.
