“Transforming” is the right word here. There’s a lot of disagreement over whether or not ACOs work for most providers and whether it’ll actually do anything the address the industry’s challenges of delivery value with payment. Transforming? Yes. Improving? Not clear.

It’s not clear that this can be attributed to any particular reform under the law. Lo and behold, when you make it illegal to be uninsured, the uninsured rate goes down. But there isn’t much that points to the reforms in the ACA as a reason for this decline.

Fair point, but shouldn’t the public mandate be considered a reform in itself? Isn’t the point of the mandate to ensure just this decline in the uninsured rate?

Yeah, because being patriotic and religious is sooooo much harder than being queer in America. I’m sorry someone made a face when you said Merrry Christmas… that’s definitely more important than the fact that queer folks are beaten and murdered for being who they are.
