This is a reference to Clarence 13X, an American religious leader that founded the 5% Nation of Gods and Earths and split from the nation of Islam.
Among his many beliefs, he believed that all black men were divine and took the name Allah to symbolize this status. He rejected the belief in an invisible God, teaching that God could be found within each black man. This kind of belief is very Afrocentric, in line with much of Digable Planets' message.

By saying “space is the place” Doodlebug refers to Sun Ra’s film Space Is The Place.
The 1974 movie’s plot follows Sun Ra, who has been reported lost since his European tour in June 1969, lands on a new planet in outerspace with his crew “The Arkestra” and decides to settle African Americans on this planet. The medium of transportation he had chosen is music.
Many of the themes of the movie vibe with all that Digable is about – the Afrocentrism, the idea of music as transportation, etc.

Hitler makes a snide comment about the portrayal of Vader’s origin as the whiny Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy of Star Wars films. He compares his influential force of evil to that of the “Force” in the Star Wars universe, a power that allows its users to telekinetically move objects and people.
