The Flavor Unit was the name of DJ Mark the 45 King’s crew of New Jersey based hip-hop artists before Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere co-opted the name for their fledgling management company. As CEO and COO, respectively, the duo became formidable business partners in the music industry. Shakim remained Latifah’s manager.

Past management clients include: Monica, Outkast, Faith Evans, Total, LL Cool J, Donell Jones, and Naughty By Nature (Treach, of course, was a member of Naughty By Nature).
