Of smal coral aboute hire arm she bar
A peire of bedes, gauded al with grene,

from Geoffrey Chaucer – The Canterbury Tales (General Prologue) on Rap Genius

Meaning

(= She carried a small coral stone under her arm / And a pair of beads [a rosary] with green dividers)

Coral is a strange stone for a nun to carry as it was traditionally a love charm.

Her rosary, though, seems fairly standard. A ‘gaud’ is a divider and did not have the modern meaning of ‘gaudy’.
