Walt: It's my birthday.
This scene is a flashback to Season 5 Episode 1 “Life Free or Die”
Walt is poor, mistreated, and powerless, but he has a huge group of people who love him and genuinely care about him.
He has a brand new car, all the money in the world, and the love of most of his immediate family, but his wife has to be forced to celebrate his birthday and his only relationships outside of the family are with drug dealers.
His immediate family either wants him dead or is dead because of him, the whole world only knows him as a murderous meth cook, and the only person he can share his birthday with is an anonymous waitress from Denny’s.
