In typical Breaking Bad fashion, the cold open starts somewhere in the middle of the story, then spends the rest of the season filling in the gaps. Instead of starting right from the beginning then slowly showing Walter’s demise, the season starts at the end then works its way back.
The BB staff incorporated the poem Ozymandias heavily into this season. And a poem commenting on the eventual fall of every great king and empire fits in perfectly as “Mr. Lambert” sees that the home where he once raised his family has become nothing more than a crime scene and tourist attraction.
