Walt: Stay a little longer?

The extractor: Yeah, I got a long trip ahead of me.

Walt: Two hours? I'll give you another $10,000. Please.

The extractor: 10,000? One hour.

*Walt agrees*

from Breaking Bad (Ft. Peter Gould) – Granite State on Rap Genius

This exchange says a lot about Walt’s mental state. His extreme isolation and loneliness has left him desperate for any sort of human interaction, even if he has to buy it. Far from the prideful, independent Walt (or Heisenberg) we’ve seen in earlier episodes.

Many found Walt’s desperation to be heartbreaking. Even with the atrocities we’ve seen him commit, some still felt pity and empathy for him.
