Of Sugar Hill?
Sugar Hill is an upmarket neighborhood in Harlem, Manhattan. The name dates from the 1920s. It inspired the name of the pioneering hip-hop group Sugarhill Gang (which actually came from New Jersey), as well as their record label, Sugar Hill Records.
Langston Hughes was the most famous poet of the Harlem Renaissance movement of the 1920s and ‘30s. In this poem he pays tribute to the fine ladies of his neighborhood.
